Both Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets will cut trade for 3 minutes from 2.28pm on Monday to support the Sichuan earthquake in China.

The Sichuan earthquake has killed over 30,000 people as of last week. Officials declared a three-day national period of mourning beginning today. Public entertainment will be suspended, flags flown at half-mast and the Olympic torch relay will be temporarily halted.

Including stock markets, the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange and the Dalian Commodity Exchange still join the 3-minute mourning at the same time.
