Chrishell Stause has set the record straight on the rumors involving her and Simu Liu. During her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Tuesday night, the “Selling Sunset” star revealed the real score between her and the “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” actor, saying he’s just a friend.

Rumors linking Stause and Liu romantically surfaced after the soap opera star-turned-real estate agent sold Liu his most recent house on “Selling Sunset” Season 4. During Tuesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” a viewer told Sause that she and other fans saw a spark between them and asked whether something romantic was going on between them.

“I get this question a lot,” Stause answered. “I have to say, Simu is just a friend of mine.”

“Friend with benefits?” Andy Cohen interjected. “No, I promise!,” said Stause. “No one ever believes me, but no!,” she added, before describing Liu as a “lovely” and “amazing” person. She went on to say she doesn’t think the Canadian actor is “public with is whole situation, but he’s just a friend.”

Asked what she meant by “situation,” the reality star explained that Liu prefers keeping his dating life private.

Liu appeared on two episodes of “Selling Sunset” Season 4, which was filmed in 2021. By the summer of last year, Stause confirmed she was in a relationship with Jason Oppenheim, the president of the brokerage she works for, The Oppenheim Group.

Stause and Oppenheim packed on the PDA on social media over the next few months but confirmed their split in December 2021, with Oppenheim noting they “have different wants regarding a family.” Last week, Stause told People she and her ex have remained best of friends despite their breakup, calling their situation “bittersweet.”

“I know Jason is so proud of me and we love each other so much,” she said. “I will say it’s a relationship I’m really extremely proud of. I think that we entered and left it with so much respect and love for each other.”
