As French footwear designer Christian Louboutin steps into his 20th anniversary in fashion, the Design Museum in London has presented the first retrospective exhibition dedicated to the works of the high-end fashion shoe designer.

The exhibition is reportedly a celebration of the designer's career to date and displays an elaborate collection of designs and inspirations that Louboutin created through the 20 years. This includes shoe designs from stilettos to sneakers, bejeweled pumps and even lace-up boots.

The event also showcases the history behind the famous Louboutin red soles that the designer is so renowned for creating.

Apart from this, the event also explores the complex process of designing and takes visitors through every stage of the creation process. Right from the very initial sketches to the final production of the shoes in the factory, the exhibition will also explore the company's innovative store design in which Louboutin is always closely involved.

In addition to the retrospective, Louboutin has also launched a special capsule collection to celebrate his 20th anniversary.

In France, 20 years defines a generation, Vogue quoted Louboutin as saying. This is a celebration of the first generation of this brand; an anniversary of its first young adventure.

The capsule includes 20 styles of shoes and six bags, inspired by Louboutin's work over the past 20 years, to be sold at special shops and boutiques worldwide.
