Thanksgiving is over and it’s time to move full steam ahead into Christmas season.

ABC is helping kick that off with its 8th annual CMA Country Christmas event.

This year, the special was hosted by Reba McEntire and was filmed at the famous Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Nov. 14 in front of a live audience, filled with both talent and those from the public who purchased tickets.

“Christmas is such a special time. It reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma and singing carols with my family,” McEntire said in a press release. “I’m just tickled to join a group of some of my best country buddies onstage to celebrate the holiday season. This is where my love of music began.”

The production was executive produced by Robert Deaton, directed by Paul Miller and written by Jon Macks.

Where And When Can You Watch?

The two-hour CMA Country Christmas special airs on ABC tonight (Nov. 27) at 8 p.m. EST.

If you would like to watch online, then ABC’s website is the best option. For no additional cost, many TV providers include the ability to watch an ABC live stream on the network’s site with its subscriptions.

Though the live stream is available for quite a few TV provider subscribers, it is not currently accessible in all markets.

Which Artists Will Be Performing ?

McEntire hosts the event for the first time this year, but she won’t be the only superstar fans will get to see hit the stage.

Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, CB30, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, CeCe Winans, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Young will be performing during the special’s broadcast.

Aside from hosting, McEntire will also be singing a song from her new album, “My Kind of Christmas,” which features collaborations with Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood, Lauren Daigle, Darius Rucker, Amy Grant and Vince Gill.

When speaking of the decision to have McEntire as the host this year, CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern said, “Reba epitomizes country and the cheer of the holiday season” and “She’s also the most nominated female in CMA Awards history, so the fit couldn’t be more perfect.”
