Pop culture junkies, get ready. San Diego Comic-Con 2015 starts Thursday, but every convention enthusiast knows you need to prioritize. With thousands of options, there is no way to see everything. Whether you’re wandering around the San Diego Convention Center or figuring out which panels to stalk via Twitter, these are the panels that everyone should try to make room for in their schedule on Thursday.

10:45-11:45 a.m.

"The Autobiography of James T. Kirk" – Ballroom 20 – “Star Trek” star William Shatner will read excerpts from “The Autobiography of James T. Kirk” as the character.

12-3:30 p.m.

CBS TV Studios Comic-Con Line-Up – Ballroom 20 – This panel actually includes five different panels. Cast members and executive producers from “Extant,” “Zoo,” “Under the Dome,” “Limitless” and “Scorpion” will each get a turn on stage. Sneak previews from each show have been promised.

1-2 p.m.

De Connick & Fraction: Milkfed Criminal Masterminds @ Work – Room 2 – Kelly Sue DeConnick (author of “Captain Marvel,” “Sex Criminals”) and Matt Fraction (author of “Hawkeye,” “Sex Criminals”) are the writers of very popular comics, and they happen to be married to each other. See them discuss their work.

2:15-3:15 p.m.

“Doctor Who” – Hall H – Cast members Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez will attend this panel with showrunner Steven Moffat. A special announcement will happen during the session.

3:30-4:30 p.m.

The TV Animation Story Editors/Head Writers Panel – Room 24ABC – Some of the writers for the biggest cartoons will chat about their jobs. Panelists include Andrew Robinson (“Kaijudo Clash of the Duel Masters”), Jim Krieg (“Green Lantern: The Animated Series”), Charlotte Fullerton (“ My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic”), Eugene Son (“Ultimate Spider-Man”) and Craig Miller (“Transformers”).

3:45-5:15 p.m.

“Con Man”: The Fan Revolt 13 Years in the Making – Hall H – Though it hasn’t premiered yet, former “Firefly” actors Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion’s web series, “Con Man,” booked the biggest room at SDCC. The two will be joined by their costars P. J. Haarsma, Mindy Sterling, Tricia Helfer, Felicia Day, Casper Van Dien, Nolan North, Alison Haislip, Michael Trucco, Sky Haarsma, Seth Green, and Wil Wheaton at the panel.

3:45-4:45 p.m.

“Sherlock” – Ballroom 20 – Executive producers Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue will be joined by actor Rupert Graves to talk about the PBS hit.

4-5 p.m.

Spotlight on Rainbow Rowell – Room 29AB – Rainbow Rowell (author of “Eleanor & Park,” “Fangirl”) is one of the most popular writers of young adult novels right now. See the New York Times bestselling author discuss her work.

4:30-5:30 p.m.

Marvel: Uncanny Inhumans – Room 6DE – Check out what’s coming up next in Marvel’s “Inhumans” comics. With their introduction on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and their upcoming movie, the comics might give Marvel Cinematic Universe fans some clues about what to expect.

5-6 p.m.

“Teen Wolf”—Ballroom 20 – Executive producer Jeff Davis will be joined by several cast members to talk about what’s coming up next in Season 5 of the MTV drama.

8:15-10 p.m.

“Dominion” – Room 6DE – Executive producer Vaun Wilmott will screen the first two episodes of Season 2 at this panel.
