UFC star Conor McGregor and musician Machine Gun Kelly had an apparent dustup Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards. Video of the altercation outside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, was caught on camera and has drawn ample attention on social media.

It was clear that an altercation occurred but McGregor's response to the incident was that “absolutely nothing” happened and that he doesn't know Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker.

The images captured by a photographer show McGregor going in to punch MGK and security guards holding him back. He could be seen throwing a drink at actor Megan Fox, who is the girlfriend of MGK.

In an interview with Rachel Smith from Entertainment Tonight, McGregor insisted that the fight was "absolutely nothing. I don't know. He showed up, and I don't know. I don't know the guy."

"Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean," he continued. "I certainly don't fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don't even know the guy. I don't know anything about him, except that he's with Megan Fox," he said.

An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that the two "exchanged some words" on the red carpet before drinks and fists were thrown.

Both McGregor, 33, and MGK, 31, were part of the award show. McGregor presented an award to Justin Bieber. MGK performed "Papercuts" with drummer Travis Barker.
