‘A Crafty Christmas Romance’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Lifetime’s Christmas movies continue with the premiere of “A Crafty Christmas Romance” starring Nicola Posener and Bradford B. Johnson, on Friday night.

This new holiday flick won’t be the first time Lifetime movie fans have seen either Posener or Johnson, though this will be their first film together—and Posener’s first Christmas film for the channel as well. While she previously starred in 2016’s thriller “Nightmare Wedding,” she hasn’t done anything else for the network. Most recently, she has also starred as Amelia on the CBS soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Meanwhile, Johnson is a recent addition to the Lifetime roster, after getting his start over on Hallmark Channel, where he held roles in the films “Love At First Glance” and “Switched for Christmas” in 2017. He went on to star as Oliver Graham in Lifetime’s 2018 thriller “Boyfriend’s Deceit” and as Adam in that same year’s “Jingle Belle.” This will be his first lead role in a holiday film.

What will happen when these two get together for their first flick together? According to a synopsis, the holiday spirit will come alive as the two try to solve a mystery and reunite someone with something very special before Christmas arrives.

“Mandy (Posener), the owner of a craft and hobby store, discovers an old copy of ‘A Christmas Carol’ among donations for a book drive,” the synopsis reads. “In the book is a letter to Santa from 70 years ago along with a valuable coin. Mandy sets out to find the owner of the book, letter and coin with the help of Jonah (Johnson), a contractor who first came upon and donated the book.”

As the two begin to work at finding the person they seek, they will also start finding something they didn’t expect—a connection that spells out a holiday romance for them both. But as the clock ticks down, the pressure will be on to achieve their ultimate goal, especially if they want to have their own holiday wishes granted.

“Along the way, they find clues that lead them closer to the author, and to each other, but can Mandy return everything to the book owner in time for Christmas and make her own Christmas wish come true?” the synopsis asks.
