Gaming studio CD Projekt Red announced a few days ago that the much-awaited title “Cyberpunk 2077” would be delayed for another couple of months. Despite the bad news, the game developer revealed that the upcoming title would have a surprise for next-generation gaming console gamers. According to a recent report, CPRD confirmed that the next generation update would arrive in 2021 and it is going to be free for PS5 and Xbox Series X users.

Following the announcement of the delay of “Cyberpunk 2077,” CD Projekt Red confirmed the arrival of the highly anticipated title on the next generation gaming consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X. According to the Polish game developer, the upcoming title will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X. the gaming studio’s confirmation seemingly aligns with some of the gamers’ theory that the next generation gaming consoles would be released on or before Nov 15, 2020.

CD Projekt Red, apparently, believes that gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft would launch at around the same time. Interestingly, the polish gaming studio confirmed “Cyberpunk 2077” would receive robust update in 2021 for the upcoming gaming consoles. Additionally, the update would be free for gamers who were able to purchase the game for the Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

It can be recalled that in Jan 2020, CD Projekt Red shared that “Cyberpunk 2077” is always planned to arrive on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. A recent interview with the gaming studio revealed that while the game is already finished, it still requires a significant amount of QA testing, thus the delayed release. Although CDPR did not mention that the game was affected by the current global health crisis caused by the coronavirus, it switched work since Mar 2020.

It would be exciting to see “Cyberpunk 2077” on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Both gaming console makers have not yet announced the specific release date of their respective gaming hardware. However, the gaming industry is anticipating that the PS5 and Xbox Series X might arrive in the third week of Nov 2020. Both next generation gaming console has a release window of holiday 2020.
