Daniel Radcliffe And Girlfriend Erin Darke Photographed: 'Harry Potter' Has Reportedly Dated New Lover For Two Years

“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe seems to have found magic in real life. The actor was photographed with girlfriend Erin Darke for one of the first times in the apparent two years they have dated.

The British actor likes to keep his personal life private so it’s not surprising that it took so long for someone to snap a photo of the two together. Radcliffe famously told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that the kind of person he prefers to date is someone private and intelligent.

The two first met in October 2012 when they were shooting the (loosely historical) drama "Kill Your Darlings," Yahoo reported. In the film, Radcliffe plays legendary beat poet Alan Ginsberg while Darke portrays Gwendolyn. It’s unclear if the couple became an item right away or if it took some time.

The Daily Mail said the two were photographed after they visited Myers of Keswick, a British grocery store in the West Village of New York City.

Though things seem to be going well for the actors now, it supposedly wasn’t always that way. Things in the beginning were rough, with the “Harry Potter” star supposedly breaking Darke’s heart in the beginning. The pair apparently hooked up around the same time Radcliffe called things off with ex-lover Rosie Coker.

The Daily Mail quoted a Life & Style source in October 2012: “Erin thought it was a real relationship, going as far as introducing Daniel as her boyfriend.”

“He’s flown her out to London and taken her on dates and spent plenty of time with her in NYC, but Daniel just up and left New York without a second thought. Erin was devastated!”

The split apparently didn’t last long as Darke and Radcliffe were spotted together in London outside the Noel Coward theatre last August following his performance in “The Cripple of Inishmann.”
