Square Enix has shared some details in preparation for the launch of “Marvel’s Avengers” on Sept. 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.

The company intends to release several info dumps daily for the week leading up to the launch of the game next Friday, GameSpot reports.

Anyone who pre-orders “Marvel’s Avengers” will get 72-hour early access to the game although Square Enix did clarify that the servers do not go live until Sept. 1. No specific time has been provided for that date.

For those who will buy the physical game, Square Enix shared that an 18gb day one patch will be required to download. On the other hand, the digital version will include the patch alongside the download. It’s unclear, however, if the patch is the same size.

Players will have to connect to the internet at least once to initiate the download. A persistent internet connection is not required though unless players want to access the online multiplayer mode.

According to Square Enix, the patch itself includes "several updates and refinements that are required for play." It also features localization files for dialogue, bug fixes, updates, and tuning from the beta weekends.

Those who pre-order the PlayStation Store Exclusive Digital Edition ($70) or Deluxe Edition ($80) will receive 72-hour early access to “Marvel's Avengers.” These players will have early access to the game as early as Sept. 1.

It will unlock at midnight your local time on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and at 9 a.m. PT on PC and Stadia. Pre-orders will be live until Sept. 1.

The company also explained what the Square Enix Member account entails. This will be how players can access post-launch content and redeem promotional pre-launch codes. That content will include new heroes, missions, regions, and more.

The players who have already participated in any of the previous beta weekends for “Marvel’s Avengers” will already have an account affixed to their game profile. Everyone else can sign up for an account for free, which in turn gives you an exclusive Thor nameplate. Membership is required to play the Avengers initiative co-op missions.

Previously, it was announced that Spider-Man would be a PlayStation-exclusive character while Hawkeye was revealed as the first post-launch DLC character.
