The kidnapping saga took a devastating turn after a body believed to be Holly’s was found in the wreckage after the car the police believed she was in went over a ravine and exploded. Now, the news will spread that the young girl has perished, and life in Salem will never be the same after the Wednesday, May 8 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was on the scene when news came back her daughter, who she had been hoping she would finally be reunited with, was dead, and naturally, she will be devastated beyond words over what happened. However, as she grieves Holly, she will also begin to feel immense anger towards the people she thought would protect her, and most notably, will start to resent Eric (Greg Vaughan), since he was the one who let Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) take custody after Nicole’s own presumed death on the NBC soap.

“Nicole lashes out at Eric,” spoilers reveal.

Meanwhile, Chloe, who has also been devastated by the kidnapping because she fears it was done by the drug cartel that’s been targeting her, is set to learn about what happened as well,

“Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) break difficult news to Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Chloe,” spoilers state.

Hearing that Holly died is going to be a major blow to Chloe, because not only does it mean the “cartel” won in their battle against her, but it also means she will lose her best friend in the process since she was the one caring for her little girl and failed.

However, those directly related to Holly won’t be the only ones who feel the consequences of her death. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) will also suffer from the news.

“Hope and Rafe’s marriage implodes,” spoilers reveal.

Their marriage was already on the rocks, and Hope will likely blame Rafe for the accident happening in the first place since his decision to chase the car went against her orders as police commissioner. Since he was following a lead he felt would prove once and for all that Ted (Gilles Marini) couldn’t be trusted, it will cause even more issues, and their marriage may never recover.

Of course, Rafe’s instincts are right, as Ted worked with Xander (Paul Telfer) to not only stage the kidnapping to begin with, but also stage Holly’s death, as they work to keep the child from the family she loves.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
