The most awaited "Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil" docuseries premiered at the SXSW Film Festival Tuesday and Demi Lovato couldn't contain her emotions. The 28-year-old singer took Instagram Story on Wednesday to thank all the fans for the love and support.

"Thanking god for all the love and support I've felt from my fans, friends and family over the past 24 hours," she wrote. "My heart is so overwhelmed in the best way."

"I love you all so much and thank you for your messages..you have no idea what they mean to me. We're in this together and I feel you with me - thank you," she concluded.

In the docuseries, the singer reflected on the incidents that took place before and after her overdose in 2018. The songstress also revealed how she suffered from the trauma caused by her drug dealer's sexual assault on the same night.

"What people don't realize about that night for me is that I didn't just overdose, I also was taken advantage of," she said as per EOnline. "When they found me, I was naked, I was blue, I was literally left for dead after he took advantage of me. And when I woke up in the hospital, they asked if I had had consensual sex. And there was one flash that I had of him on top of me, I saw that flash and I said yes."

During the Television Critics Association panel interview held on Feb. 18, Lovato explained that although the journey was painful, she doesn't regret anything.

"Everything had to happen in order for me to learn the lessons that I learned," she said. "It was a painful journey, and I look back and sometimes I get sad when I think of the pain that I had to endure to overcome what I have, but I don't regret anything."

"I'm so proud of the person I am today," she added. "And I'm so proud that people get to see it in this documentary and I couldn't be more grateful that I had someone by my side."

"I wanted to reveal it all for my fans and say this is who I am and this is where I'm at today and this is the journey that got me here," Lovato explained. "And if it helps you, then I hope that it can because that was ultimately my purpose in putting this out."
