  • Jim Holt said in a Facebook post that his best friend Jim Bob Duggar lied to him
  • Derick Dillard said it was not an isolated case in his comment on Holt's post
  • Dillard said Jim Bob lied to him and his wife, Jill, multiple times

Jim Bob Duggar received intense criticisms from his son-in-law Derick Dillard when the latter commented on Jim Holt's post on Facebook mentioning the "19 Kids and Counting" patriarch Tuesday.

Derick and Jill Duggar have a strained relationship with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle. And now Derick may have made their disagreement with the reality couple worse when he attacked his father-in-law on social media.

In Holt's Facebook post, he mentioned that Jim Bob was his best friend, but the latter lied to him "about the truth of his son when asking to court our daughter." Holt also alleged that Josh Duggar's dad committed perjury during the hearing on Nov. 29 because he said Mrs. Bobeye was a past Elder at their church from 2003 to 2006 because they never had women Elders ever.

Dillard commented on Holt's post and agreed with him.

"It’s sad that this isn’t an isolated incident. I used to have much respect for Jim Bob, as my father-in-law, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt for years," Dillard commented. "Unfortunately, it’s only become clearer to us over time just how deep this man’s manipulation and deceit will go for his own gain, at the expense of others."

Dillard said Jim Bob lied to him and his wife, Jill, numerous times. He also alleged that contrary to Jim Bob's campaign, he does not believe in freedom adding, "his manipulation has resulted in what is akin to human trafficking."

"When confronted privately, he is not humble, but he is defensive and verbally abusive. When he says he cannot be bought, the truth is that he has a history of being a sellout to anything that he can personally profit from, and he will justify it however he wants to continue his personal agenda," Dillard continued. "Again, if he has lied and continues to lie to his best friends and his own family, will he LIE to YOU?!"

Jim Bob ran for senate in Arkansas. However, Lisa Parks beat him, 5 News Online reported.

In a YouTube Q&A earlier this year, Jill confessed that she and her family haven't visited her parents' home also known as "the big house" for a couple of years already. According to Jill, they had to prioritize their mental health because there were "a lot of triggers there."

Jill and Derick also left their family's reality show "Counting On" years before it was canceled due to Josh Duggar's scandal. According to the couple, they had to hire a lawyer to recover their money because Jim Bob is the primary payee for their shows. Jim Bob reportedly makes an estimated $25,000 to $45,000 per episode, but Jill didn't receive any compensation until she left the show.

"That's when we got an attorney involved and finally recovered some of the money," Jill told People. "It was a process."
