Devolver Digital has confirmed that it’ll hold another "anti-conference" this year. In the past two E3 conferences, the company has been successful in marketing their indie games by announcing them in a bizarre way compared to other shows and platforms. Here’s what we know about Devolver Digital’s press conference.

According to an official Devolver Digital Twitter post, the company confirmed that it will host a conference on June 9 at 7 p.m. PST. The reveals for its E3 show weren’t mentioned. The promotional tweet only shows people tinkering with the screen which could be a hint of the potential release.

Aside from the upcoming games to be revealed in this show, Devolver Digital thrives on the spectacle it shows to the audience. In the company’s last presentation, unlikely game conference events were often seen on Devolver’s stage. Since Devolver hasn't announced a single detail about its upcoming show, the company can twist the audience's expectations by having a normal conference this year.

In its past conferences, some of its unorthodox gimmicks included the host making violent outbursts of speeches and talking down to the audience instead of the giddy, teasing reveals normally seen in most E3 conferences. At times, the Devolver Digital conference’s humor can be dark as the show carries on regardless of how disturbing the stage show can be.

Audience hype is changed to canned laughter cues, which could sometimes be unsettling depending on the host’s announcements. In short, Devolver Digital does everything that an E3 conference can do wrong and presents it with confidence and boldness in its incorrectness.

Aside from its shenanigans, the indie game publisher does its job and introduces new indie games to fans.

Most of Devolver Digital’s games are highly polished indie games which are mostly action types. Popular titles to come from this publisher are "Hotline Miami," "Serious Sam," "Broforce," "Shadow Warrior," "Enter The Gungeon" and "Gris."

For now, we’ll have to wait for Devolver Digital a month from now to see what they’re planning to show in E3 2019. This year’s E3 is highly awaited as major game and console developers will have large reveals to show in this conference show. Moreover, E3 2019 is also notable as one of the console giants, Sony, will not have a show on E3 this year.
