Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, who has been 'planning to retire' since 1997, is now slowly walking into the sunset with her final season.
After she missed the 2006, the show's 20th anniversary year, deadline decided in 2002; in 2004, Oprah finalized 2011 following a successful year in 2003. However, with the ratings gradually slipping down the slippery slope, by 2009 Oprah affirmed her decision to go on ahead with the final season.
The Oprah Winfrey Show's final season took off on on September 13, 2010. Oprah opened the season premiere with John Travolta. And the show that has been number one in the talk show ratings since its debut has not failed to its well-earned reputation so far.
