One very lucky person in Michigan is now $1 Billion richer after one ticket in the state resulted in a big winner following Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing.

The winning numbers of 4, 26, 42, 50 and 60 were pulled, with the gold Mega Ball with a Megaplier of 2x being pulled with the number 24.

According to the Lottery winners’ index, the one ticket in Michigan was a perfect match for all five numbers and the Mega Ball, making the lucky winter the sole recipient of the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history after a South Carolina ticket took home a prize of $1.537 billion in 2018. The lucky winner won a whopping $1 billion jackpot, with a cash option of $739.6 million.

In addition, 10 other winners matched all five numbers but didn’t get the Mega Ball—which will still let them claim a cool $1 million, with two earning $2 million with the Megaplier. 187 other players will take home $10,000 prizes and 31 will also win $20,000. Additional prizes ranging from $2, which 4, 847,030 payers will receive, up to $1,000, which 654 players are getting, will also be awarded around the country. In total, 8, 539,323 people matched at least one number and the Mega Ball or just the Mega Ball in the drawing.

With someone taking home that impressive jackpot in this drawing, the max winnings are now being reset ahead of Tuesday’s drawing, which will be a new $20 million total with a cash option of $14.7 million.

The jackpot is putting 2021 off to a good note for the lottery, as it is the first major win of the year, and the biggest winning prize since Adrian Tongson of Racine, WI took home the last jackpot of $120 million in September. 2020 saw an impressive number of big wins, with five total jackpots won throughout the year, including amounts of $123 million, $22 million, $414 million and $202 million.

The jackpot was won after a Maryland lottery player scored on the Powerball this week as well, earning a $730 million prize. That jackpot was also reset to $20 million, with a drawing set for Saturday night.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. EST.
