Grace Vanderwaal may have just tricked her 1.4 million Instagram followers into thinking that she got a pixie cut.

On Tuesday, the 13-year-old singer shared a short hair selfie and asked fans if they think the haircut suited her. Several of the commenters said Vanderwaal looked beautiful with the cut. After all, it highlighted the young singer’s facial features, especially her chin.

However, immediately after sharing the snap, Vanderwaal posted a short video revealing to her followers that she was just wearing a wig in the previous photo. The hilarious teenager said that she loves the hairstyle before pulling the wig and shouting, “Gotcha!”

Meanwhile, Vanderwaal recently attended her “Perfectly Imperfect” album launch party, which was hosted by “America’s Got Talent” digital producer Adam Davis. On his Instagram account, Adam posted a photo with Vanderwaal, who was carrying an adorable black puppy. The Suffern native shared the same post and thanked everyone who came to the event.

While speaking with Rolling Stone, Vanderwaal revealed that it was her older sister who created the cover art for “Perfect Imperfect.” According to the singer, her sister previously created a similar drawing that she loved, so she encouraged her to recreate it for the album.

In other news, Vanderwaal shared some new information about her audition for “America’s Got Talent” Season 11. She shared that all of those who auditioned were grouped into different categories. After she performed in front of a female staff, she was told that they will contact her in the coming months if they her to appear on the show. Vanderwaal was declared as the winner last season, and she brought home $1 million.
