Opening on Nov. 12 with over 700 shows and around 500 movies, Disney+ seemingly launched to little concern. After several login issues and even a hacking incident, Disney+ still remained relatively unscathed with only a few nitpicky setbacks.

A majority of these complaints surrounded the highly necessary ‘continue watching’ option and section on the Disney Plus app. As revealed by Variety, Disney has finally heeded these words and will allow users to pick up from where they last stopped watching on any form of content. Below the subscriber’s list of ‘Originals’ will now also be a ‘Continue Watching’ section, which will help to streamline the interface of the platform.

This newly integrated ‘Continue Watching’ feature will also work in tandem with other devices so that subscribers will be able to pause their show on a laptop and be able to then pick it up again on any other device with the Disney+ application. The app doesn’t require an update, either, so users should immediately spot the new features.

Despite the update, many on Reddit are still clamoring for various other alterations to the platform, such as playlists and a ‘Watch Again’ section. Given that the platform has been around for less than a month, Disney still has a lot to enhance and integrate into the system.

Chairman of Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer and International Division, Kevin Mayer, explained in Recode’s Code Media conference last week that many of these initial bugs “had to do with the way we architected the app.” He explains that as engineers worked on updating the platform, many features, like the Disney+ ‘Continue Watching’ option, were shut off in the meantime.

Mayer also adds, “We were very surprised,” in regards to acquiring 10 million subscribers in under a day. Disney Plus subscribers are now projected to reach 90 million by 2024.
