After announcing their exit from the British royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry opted to move outside of the U.K. Following their decision to leave, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent a large majority of their time in Canada with son Archie Harrison. Recent reports have now suggested that the two have made plans to relocate to the U.S., which prompted a response from President Donald Trump and a subsequent follow-up from the couple's representative.

On Sunday, Trump tweeted that while he is a "great admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom," he would not pay for any security measures needed by the Duke and Duchess if they were to ultimately relocate to the United States. The President then concluded that they "must pay," as seen in the tweet below.

Shortly thereafter, Chris Ship, a royal editor for ITV News, confirmed that their rep had since spoken out about what Trump had written on Twitter. It seems the two never asked Trump for security help.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to ask the U.S. government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made," the editor relayed after hearing from the source close to Meghan and Harry.

According to CNN, the current agreement surrounding Meghan and Harry's life after Megxit includes an understanding that Canada would assist the couple with security arrangements. However, those terms are set to expire on Tuesday once the two officially leave the royal family.

Aside from the discussion surrounding the ways in which the Duke and Duchess will pay for their security, a variety of other reports have surfaced about their time after leaving their roles as senior members of the royal family.

Not only has it been said that the two plan to "tackle" certain issues moving forward, but it has also been said that they have been threatened by new "opposition." Additionally, the former "Suits" star's recent "messages" have also reportedly "hinted" at her future.
