KEY POINTS

  • Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are living far away from each other
  • The couple is said to be fighting lately due to their differing views
  • Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are, reportedly, unlikely to break up

It cannot be denied that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are among the most-followed celebrity pairs today. Though they appear head over heels in love with each other when in public, split rumors continue to plague their relationship.

Recently, OK Magazine Australia, in its March 30, 2020 issue, suggested that Ellen and Portia are living apart. The entertainment news publication recalled that the couple bought a $43 million mansion in California in 2019. Initially, many think that Ellen and Portia will be living together in their new property. However, it seems like it was only the American-Australian model who moved in.

A source told the publication that Portia de Rossi has, already, left Los Angeles. However, Ellen DeGeneres, reportedly, stayed there as they are having some problems at present. Aside from their spat, the host decided to remain in the City of Angels because of her work.

“Portia wants her to retire, but Ellen refuses to ‘and is actually working more than ever. Ellen tries to appease her by giving her whatever she wants, like funding her art company and buying any home Portia falls in love with,” the insider claimed. “But they’ve reached boiling point, prompting Portia to move out. Some time apart will do them good. They love each other a lot, so I don’t think they’re about to give up on their marriage just yet,” it went on.

To recall, Portia revealed, during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the primary reason why she decided to quit showbiz. “I was approaching 45 and I was just wondering was there something that I could tackle now that I've never done before that would be very challenging and different,” she told her wife at the time, per Daily Mail. “I kind of knew what acting would look like for me for the next 10, 20 years, so I decided to quit and start a business,” she continued.

Both Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have yet to comment on the feud reports. However, with OK Magazine’s history of publishing articles based on the statements of its anonymous and unreliable sources, this could be another baseless rumor waiting to be debunked. So, avid followers of the two stars should take everything lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
