‘Fairy Tail’ Creator Thanks Fans; 100 Year Quest Teased

After a decade, the anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s “Fairy Tail” has finally ended. Since last year, fans have known that the end of the anime is coming, but it is another thing to really know that the anime is really over now. But, is it possible to see more of the anime in the future? Well, fans are now speculating that there could be possibly more considering what the team behind the successful anime series had shown at the end of the final episode.
As the series wrapped up, the creator of the popular series took time to thank the fans for their support to him and to “Fairy Tail.” In the final episode, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, Wendy, Happy, and Carla all prepare to go to a new mission. However, unlike other missions shown in the anime, Natsu says that it is one that he finally got the clearance to do.
The final episode of “Fairy Tail” comes to a close Natsu says that he is all fired up for the 100 Year Quest. This is by no means an official confirmation that the popular anime series could go on with a sequel nor it is hinting one since this is how the mange ends. However, it surely raises many possibilities.

The “Fairy Tail” manga continued with the official sequel called “Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest” that picks up from this ending and see Natsu and his friends taking on their most difficult job so far. The sequel features the original storyboard created by Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Euda. It continues on the plot hinted in the original series where Natsu and his friends pursue to defeat the God Dragons.
The latest “Fairy Tail” manga is released on an irregular schedule. In other words, if there is an anime adaptation, it is going to take a while before the team could gather enough material to adapt. With the positive reception from the fans from the series’ finale, a sequel will most definitely be welcome. Even the stars of the series expressed their desire to see the sequel of the popular anime series.
