Brian Griffin Family Guy
In loving memory of Brian Griffin Fox/ IBTimes

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!

“Family Guy” had everyone in a frenzy when they killed off original character Brian Griffin in their Nov. 24 episode. Fans immediately revolted against the Griffin’s new dog, Vinny, and started numerous campaigns to bring the martini loving family dog back into the picture … and it appears as if they’ll be getting a Christmas miracle.

A leaked synopsis for episode 8, “Christmas Guy,” teases the following:

“When Carter Pewterschmidt cancels the annual Quahog Christmas carnival, because he hates the holiday, Peter must transform his father-in-law from a Scrooge into a hometown hero in order to salvage the event. Meanwhile, Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas in the all-new "Christmas Guy" episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, Dec. 15 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”

As “Family Guy” viewers learned in “Life of Brian,” Stewie was completely torn up by the death of his dog and was unable to bring him back with the help of his time machine. It’s speculated that Stewie’s “master plan” in the upcoming holiday-themed episode is to get back Brian.

It’s unclear if Brian will actually return, but a press release for the episode does drop a clue. When listing the voice cast for “Christmas Guy,” Seth MacFarlane is listed as playing Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Quagmire, Carter Pewterschmidt/ younger Carter, a biker … and Brian Griffin!

But will the Fox animated comedy bring Brian Griffin back to life? Or will the deceased character return in another way? Check out our theories for “Christmas Guy”:

Flashbacks

“Family Guy” could be pulling a page out of the Kardashian’s Christmas special by reminiscing about their holidays spent with Brian. The family’s new dog, Vinny, might try helping Stewie by putting on old home videos of the Griffin’s celebrating Christmas with Brian.

Vinny

FoxNews reported on a crazy theory floating around that Vinny or his owner was responsible for hitting Brian with the car. Since Brian drove on the show it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to have Vinny behind the wheel of a car, however “Family Guy” already addressed Vinny’s former owner, Leo. In “Life of Brian,” Vinny told Stewie that Leo, an old man, died after going to yoga class for the first time and on his first post “his ballsack split in half.”

The Return Of The Time Machine

Stewie couldn’t put his time machine back together because he couldn’t get his hands on a certain piece. Perhaps he was able to get his hands on the piece … or MAYBE he was able to find a time vortex! Stewie’s a pretty smart animated toddler so we wouldn’t put it past him to pull a Dr. Frankenstein like move either.

"Christmas Guy" will air on Fox on Sunday, Dec. 15. What do you think will happen in episode 8? Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming episode of “Family Guy” in the comments section or send me a tweet at @AmandaTVScoop.
