Despite having to face several harassment issues concerning some of its top management, Ubisoft has remained calm, with Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot being transparent and focusing on an office revamp.

Be that as it may, the French video game company is slowly taking the matter one step at a time. But with that aside, Ubisoft is once again hearing and seeing its name being mentioned in the gaming community after one of its highly-anticipated first-person shooters was leaked recently.

PlayStation Hong Kong has hinted on the arrival of “Far Cry 6,” one of Ubisoft's enduring franchises first released in 2004. Although the game saw its developers changing hands from Crytek to Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, the title saw 13 sequels, with “Far Cry: New Dawn” launched in February of last year.

Now, all eyes are set on “Far Cry 6.” The leak detailed an overview of the game and also made it obvious that “Breaking Bad” and “The Mandalorian” star Giancarlo Esposito will be its main antagonist.

“Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring back to its former by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution,” said the description.

The leak also explained that gamers will take on the role of Dani Rojas, a local Yaran turned guerilla fighter with a mission to “liberate the nation.” Players will of course fight Castillo's troops in what is described as the “largest Fry Cry playground to date.” Dani will also employ makeshift weapons, vehicles and tap on the services of the Amigos, the new fangs for hire “to burn the tyrannical regime to the ground.”

Newsweek noted that PlayStation 4 users who will purchase “Far Cry 6” will receive an upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version once the game is available. At the same time, IGN pointed out that the game offers a 2-player multiplayer mode and preorder bonuses including a “state-of-the-art Discos Lobos weapon” and a “skin for Chorizo. The listing also said Ubisoft is slated to release the Standard Edition of “Fry Cry 6” on February 18, 2021.
