Fear the Walking Dead
“Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2, episode 3 will see Daniel (Rubén Blades) and others venture off the ship and encounter a downed aircraft. AMC

Hot off the news that AMC has already renewed it for a third run, “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 will continue its adventure on the ocean Sunday with episode 3. After months of anticipation, the new episode will add a cast member and reveal a bit more about the ship’s most mysterious character yet.

According to the official plot synopsis for episode 3, titled “Ouroboros,” the confrontation with Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) takes center stage as the ship’s would-be-leader Madison (Kim Dickens) gets fed up with his secrets putting her family in danger. It was revealed during last week’s episode that Strand was lying to the group about his plan to take them to San Diego and find a military outpost. Instead, he’s hiding supplies, a weapon and a satellite phone that are all pointing him and the yacht in the direction of Mexico. It’s unclear what will set Madison off on figuring out his true intentions, but at this point someone has to finally hash out whether Strand is a villain or a friend.

One thing that may lead to the group’s fragmentation can be seen in the sneak peek video for next week’s episode. In it, Strand is calling out on his satellite phone, presumably to the same person he was secretly talking to in episode 2, but that person is no longer answering the phone. When he hears a click and then static, he immediately gives away their location before somewhat less immediately regretting that choice.

While they’re having it out on the yacht, Nick (Frank Dillane), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Daniel (Rubén Blades) and Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) form an away team that stumbles upon the wreckage of a downed passenger plane. Fans will, of course, recognize this as the flight from the web-exclusive series “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.” Apparently, as promised, the fate of the passengers following the story’s cliffhanger ending will finally be revealed, but based on the teaser for the upcoming episode things didn’t end up going too well for a majority of the people aboard.

Sadly, it looks like the kids, and Daniel, are going to get their first extreme dose of zombie combat as they find themselves cornered by the wreckage’s reanimated passengers. Hopefully their new friend, or possibly friends, will be able to see them through the conflict. To find out what ends up happening, fans will just have to tune in to episode 3, “Ouroboros,” on Sunday, April 24 to find out.
