“Fear The Walking Dead” Season 5, episode 9 will not be airing this week. After the mid-season finale, the TV series will be on a short break before returning in August.

The plot of the show moving forward will be about the fight for oil. The heroes in the post-apocalyptic world have so far managed to use the cars and the fuel that was available, but they will now have to find a way to make gasoline if they want to continue to use vehicles for transport.

The Talking Dead Twitter page promised the fans that the spin-off series will be back very soon. The post also came with a teaser trailer that was released at the San Diego Comic Con.

The heroes are on a mission to help people, but they will only be able to do that if they have fuel. In the mid-season finale they made a deal with Logan (Matt Frewer) to find an oil field and make gasoline.

With the fuel running out, the heroes will start using horses for transport in “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 5, episode 9. The trailer also teased Morgan (Lennie James) teaching Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) how to wield a staff.

The heroes will continue to fight the rival faction when the show returns, as they go on a mission to find the oil field. The ever present danger of the zombies will also continue to pose a threat.

One character that the fans will get to see more of on the show is Dwight (Austin Amelio). The character has been through a lot with John Dorie (Garret Dillahunt), and he has now joined the group. In a recent interview, Amelio pointed out that his character can relate to Dorie, and a trust has started to build between the two of them.

Meanwhile, the main Twitter page of the show has started ranking all the characters based on the number of zombies they kill. Alicia is at the top of the list, but others like Dorie are climbing the list fast.

“Fear the Walking Dead” Season 5, episode 9 will air on Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. EST. The episode is titled “Channel 4.”
