After missing of a Fifth Harmony concert in Brazil following a recent citation, Lauren Jauregui took to Twitter to apologize to her Brazilian fans.

Writing her message in Portuguese, the 20-year-old Cuban American singer revealed why she had to miss the concert, blaming it on a missed flight. “My dear Brazilian harmonizers, I’m sorry I couldn’t see you all. I didn’t get on the plane on time and because of this I had to go to Atlanta,” a translated version of Jauregui’s message reads.

The singer promised to make it up to her fans and Brazil. “I promise you I’m going to do everything for you because I love each of you with all my heart. I’m sorry,” she wrote. Fans of the group took to Twitter after Jauregui’s message and posted their support for the singer. “I love her supporting my country. Not once, but twice. Queen,” wrote one Twitter user.

Jauregui’s absence from the concert in Saõ Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday comes after the singer was stopped by the TSA at Washington Dulles International Airport. While traveling, a staff member at the airport discovered marijuana in Jauregui’s carry-on luggage. According to the group’s attorney, Jauregui was not arrested.

“Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance,” attorney Dina LaPolt told E! News. “She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities.”

After the singer’s citation, Fifth Harmony fans — Harmonizers — created the Twitter hashtag “#FreeLauren.” Although the rest of the members in the group — Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei and Dinah Jane — didn’t comment on her arrest, the group did thank their fans in Brazil for going to the show.
