A family was shocked to find a huge python taking refuge in the ceiling of their home in Johor, Malaysia.

The family called the Fire and Rescue Department on Friday morning after the 13-feet-long reticulated python broke through the ceiling. The team arrived at the home and found the reptile stuck on a beam above the ceiling. The python was rescued and released into the woods.

A video of the 30-minute rescue process, shared by Facebook page Community Roda Johor – CRJ, showed one of the firefighters locating the head of the reptile and holding it while the other official holds its body and slowly pulls the snake out of the ceiling. The video has since gone viral and has garnered over 1, 56,000 views with Facebook users congratulating the firefighters on their “good work.”

The incident comes less than a week after firefighters in Chanthaburi, Thailand, were caught on camera struggling to place a python into a sack. Thongchai Jiamyungyuen rushed outside his home after hearing his dogs barking. He found the massive 16-feet-long python next to a drain in front of his home and immediately alerted the firefighters upon realizing that the snake had eaten his pet cat. A video of the rescue showed the firefighters struggling to drag and place the python in a bag.
