Melania Trump has become a favorite subject of malicious rumors and speculations since President Donald Trump announced his presidential bid in 2015. The First Lady of the United States received more attention and scrutiny when her family moved into the White House in 2017. Now, recent reports claimed that the former model was humiliated again on social media because of her husband.

Netizens started reporting the President’s tweet about Marie Yovanovitch to Melania. Twitter users accused Donald Trump of witness intimidation during the Ukrainian ambassador’s impeachment inquiry testimony on Friday. “Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go?” the POTUS wrote. "Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors."

Critics were quick to highlight the inconsistency between Melania Trump’s BeBest Campaign and her husband’s attack on Marie Yovanovitch. “While Trump intimidates and bullies the witness, Melania Trump 'works' on her anti-bullying campaign. BeBest,” Madelyne Ortiz wrote on Twitter. “Trump intimidates Marie Yovanovitch on Twitter and #HOTUS @FLOTUS is still running a sham #BeBest anti-bullying campaign,” Dump Lindsey Graham stated. There were also some who urged Melania to act on the actions of President Trump.

Despite this, avid supporters of the First Lady praised her contributions to the country. "Thank you for all that you are doing to represent our country with class and honor,” Dawn Anderson said on Twitter. “Way to rise above the ridiculous paid-for protestors @FLOTUS. You are a beautiful, gracious, classy First Lady and America loves and appreciates you,” another supporter wrote.

President Donald Trump was also accused of humiliating Melania Trump after photos and videos of a toilet paper stuck to his shoe went viral on social media earlier this month. Netizens mocked the first couple while some pitied Melania because of her husband’s actions and mishaps.

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham confirmed that the President and Melania Trump will be meeting Queen Elizabeth II in London in December. The pair will be attending the NATO Leaders meeting and a reception hosted by the British ruler.
