Steve Burns made a heartwarming video for "Blue's Clues" fans for the show's 25th anniversary.

The live-action animated educational children's TV series with Steve and a blue puppy named Blue premiered on Nick Jr. on Sept. 8, 1996. Steve, the original host, made a short clip for the fans to remind them that he hasn't forgotten about them.

"Hi, you got a second?" the former host said in the video. "You remember how when we were younger we used to run around and hang out with Blue, and find clues, and talk to Mr. Salt, and freak out about the mail, and do all the fun stuff? And then one day, I was like, 'Oh hey, guess what? Big news… I'm leaving.'"

Steve left the series because he was going to college. And he had not returned to the franchise for "like, a really long time." So, he made the clip for the show's now grown-up fans. According to him, he was able to challenge himself and use his mind. At present, he is older and gets to do the things he wanted to do all along. And just like what he did on the show, he acknowledged everyone's journey over the years.

"Look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all that time," he said while directly addressing viewers in a typical "Blue's Clues" fashion. "And it's just… it's just so amazing, right? I mean, we started out with clues and now it's what? Student loans, and jobs, and families, and some of that has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know."

He continued, "And I wanted to tell you that I really couldn't have done all of that without your help. And, in fact, all the help that you helped me with when we were younger is still helping me today, right now, and that's super cool. I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years I never forgot you. Ever. And I'm super glad we're still friends."

Several fans and viewers commented on the video. Many of them were happy to see him again and several wished he could help them now that they are already adults.

"Can Steve come back and compassionately tell me how to get a Clue as an adult? Like how to qualify for a mortgage and meal prep?" one asked.

"Things have changed a lot since you left, Steve, but we've always believed in you, who believed in us," Xbox's official account wrote.

Back in 2003, Steve spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the show and admitted that he was very "protective" of the series and its host Donovan Patton. "But the nice thing is now I get to bust that character out whenever I want to. It's kind of like being Clark Kent," he said at the time.
