“Apex Legends” might be going strong, but Epic Games isn’t resting on its laurels with “Fortnite.” The battle royale game is powering on by kicking off Season 8, “X Marks the Spot."

For the hardcore “Fortnite” fans, a new season brings with it a whole slew of new challenges for players to tackle. First, there are three free challenges available to all players: visit all pirate camps (7), search chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction (7), deal damage with a shotgun or explosive weapon in a single match (2), as reported by Forbes.

The camps are located all over the map, similar to the AIM camps in Season 7. They are located west of Pleasant Park, east of the Block, northwest of Shifty Shaft, between Loot Lake and Dusty Divot, southwest base of the volcano, northwest of Fatal Fields, and south of Retail Row. The others require simple searching or playing/surviving a match.

Battle Pass owners will have a set of challenges of their own to tackle for a little extra grinding. Players have to visit a giant face in the desert, jungle, and snow (3), use a volcano vent in different matches (5), get an elimination with a shotgun, explosive weapon, and assault rifle (3) and deal damage to a vehicle driven by an opponent (200).

The desert face is located on the very southeast point of the map. The jungle map is along the northeast coast of the map, past the volcano. And the snow face is located on the southern tip of the map and east of Happy Hamlet.
