Game of Thrones
Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free) will become a major character in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. HBO

Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) may be headed to Dorne in Season 5 of HBO's “Game of Thrones,” but another member of his family has been there for a while. Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free) – the daughter of Cersei (Lena Headey) and Jaime Lannister -- was married off and sent to the foreign kingdom in Season 2, but she will become a much more important character as the new region becomes a key location in the series.

Myrcella Baratheon is publicly the daughter of Cersei and the late-King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy), but in truth the blonde-haired girl is the daughter of the sibling couple – like her brothers Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and the current king Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). In Season 5, Nell Tiger Free will replace Aimee Richardson – who played the role the last time fans saw the character in Season 2 – as the controversial daughter.

In Season 4, Cersei was often lamenting that Myrcella had been sent so far away for political reasons, and her daughter returns to the show at an interesting time. After the death of Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) the people of Dorne are not the Lannisters’ biggest fans and Myrcella looks to become a major character amidst some bad blood between the two families. Readers of the "Song of Ice and Fire" books know that the Martell's decide to use Myrcella to make a claim to the throne -- saying that Joffrey's sister is next in line, not her brother Tommen. Myrcella is coming back in a big way!

What will happen when father – Jaime Lannister – and daughter – Myrcella – reunite in Dorne? Fans will have to wait to find out. “Game of Thrones” returns to HBO with the Season 5 premiere on April 12.
