“General Hospital” fans may not be happy over the next two weeks as news coverage of the presidential impeachment trial continues. The ABC soap opera hasn’t aired a new episode since Monday, Jan. 20.

Last week, White House advisor Kellyanne Conway revealed she didn’t expect the trial hearing to go on for more than two weeks.

According to the Washington Post, Conway said that a two-week Senate trial “seems about right” while addressing the impeachment hearing.

“These two articles are very weak. We don’t see the need to have a lengthy, protracted trial,” she said.

Conway appeared to imply that the White House plans to go forward with Trump’s State of the Union address, even though the trial may still be in progress. “We have Feb. 4 circled on our calendars,” she told reporters.

For “General Hospital” fans, that means they may be waiting a while before the can watch their favorite soap opera. In the US, the daytime series is currently being preempted, which means fans won’t have to go online to catch up on the latest episodes.

During the impeachment hearing on Tuesday, the “GH” Twitter account updated fans about the interrupted episode.

“We are currently monitoring the start of the impeachment trial in the Senate, and its potential impact on today’s episode of #GH. Should it be significantly interrupted, come back here for updates on watching it elsewhere. Thank you so much for your patience,” the tweet read.

The following day, the Twitter account released a statement apologizing for the delay in new episodes.

“Today’s episode of General Hospital will not air as scheduled. We will monitor the news coverage and continue to update our social channels as soon as we know when new episodes will return. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. #GH,” the statement read.

For now, fans will have to check for updates on the ABC soap opera’s social media accounts to find out when new episodes will resume.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
