There is a lot to look forward to in "Genshin Impact" if miHoYo stays true to its earlier promise of releasing new updates to the game every six weeks. The latest patch introduced a wide range of new features, characters and events in the game. But Update 1.4 is worth the wait and according to several leaks, it will introduce a new region, new characters, new events and interesting challenges.

New Region

Earlier rumors suggested that "Genshin Impact" Update 1.4 will introduce the Inazuma region. However, it appears that it is not yet happening in the upcoming update but on Update 1.6. Instead, rumors have it that miHoYo would launch a new region called Chasm, which looks a lot like Dragonspine.

New Characters

Industry insider NEP NEP previously leaked several characters that could arrive in "Genshin Impact" via Update 1.4. The five-star Cryo user Ayaka is one of the characters rumored to be introduced in the game's next update. Another character that might launch in the game is Rosaria who, according to rumors, might have been bumped into a five-star character. The insider also leaked the four-star Hydro character Mimi might pop up in the game through the next update. 

New Events And Challenges

The Windbloom Festival is one of the heavily leaked events expected to launch in the game. The said event apparently features three stages that players need to complete. Rumors have it that the event revolves around mini-games. Industry insider AeEntropy on Twitter recently shared another event called the Oceanid event.

The said event will be reportedly similar to the Hypostatic Symphony event where players need to fight bosses with varying levels of difficulty. The tweet revealed that Oceanid will utilize several new attacks and provide players with much more difficult challenges. The event will apparently introduce a new pet called Oceanid pet as one of its rewards.
