  • EA had shared some details about the next "Battlefield" game at its recent earnings call
  • The game publisher also teased its announcement sometime in the spring of 2021
  • A massive leak revealed interesting features of "Battlefield 6"

Even before video game company EA confirmed the official release window of the new “Battlefield” title, rumors about it have been rife online, with a new leak revealing important information about "Battlefield 6," including its unannounced features.

While the game’s reveal is happening sometime this spring and would launch in the holiday of 2021, EA has not revealed much about it.

However, reliable industry insider Tom Henderson shared details about “Battlefield 6.” The upcoming game will take levolution to the next level, he said in a YouTube video. This could mean players would be able to destroy most buildings in the game as long as these structures have no objectives attached on them.

The game seemingly has an advanced and complex system that apparently triggers the structures to fall in various directions relevant to the spot where it was compromised. The insider somehow suggested “Battlefield 6” might feature a strategic element in destroying buildings. That’s not all, Henderson also noted that squads of four members will be featured in the incoming shooter title.

Also, players have the ability to create units by stacking squads. Classes like assault, support, recon and engineer are featured in the game, the insider noted. The popular Battle Pass and Seasons structure are also present in “Battlefield 6,” Henderson added, with each season reportedly planned to last between eight and 10 weeks.

Aside from those, the incoming shooter game from EA allegedly features some sort of free to play element, which presumably would be in the form of a battle royale mode or something similar to it. “Battlefield 6” supports cross-play between PC, Xbox Series X and PS5 when it launches. However, it is not yet clear if the game will release on previous generation gaming consoles such as Xbox One or PS4.

During the company’s recent earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson mentioned the incoming “Battlefield” title will feature massive maps and will adopt all the player agency, destruction, weapon combat and vehicle the series is famous for and would bring it to a whole new level. While Henderson is a reliable insider, fans should take this information about “Battlefield 6” with a pinch of salt since these features are not yet confirmed.
