'Genshin Impact' Guide: How To Finish Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual

There were plenty of new quests added to “Genshin Impact” when the 2.0 update dropped, but other than the main story quests, none of them are as long as the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest. This world quest will take players across the entirety of the available Inazuman islands to complete the eponymous ritual.

The Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual involves a long chain of quests. Instead of just completing the objectives that appear in their journal, “Genshin Impact” players must finish all of the associated quests to complete the ritual.

While the length of the entirety of the quest might be off-putting for some “Genshin Impact” players, completing the ritual is essential for unlocking some of the islands’ areas, including the passage toward the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss found toward the northeast of Ritou. Some of the blueprints for the new 4-star weapons are also locked behind some of the quests in this chain.

Here are the quests that players need to finish in order to complete the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual.

A Strange Story In Konda

After completing the initial set of story quests and unlocking access to the rest of Inazuma, players can head to Konda Village right outside Ritou and begin the Strange Story In Konda quest.

This will lead to the first shrine that players must cleanse in order to proceed. After completing the relevant steps and puzzles, speak to the masked shrine maiden to proceed.

Sacrificial Offering

The second shrine can be found near the abandoned shrine by Konda Village. Players must unravel the secret of the Kitsune statues near the shrine with the help of the Memento Lens given by the shrine maidens of the Grand Narukami Shrine. Completing this quest will lead to the location of three more shrines

Cleansing Defilement

This quest will require players to cleanse three shrines in Araumi, Chinju Forest and the Kamisato Estate. Take note that to complete the Chinju Forest shrine, players must also complete the Hayashi of Tanuki quest that takes place in the same area.

Yougou Cleansing

This final quest takes place in Mt. Yougou where players will have to fight off a boss and mini-bosses. Defeating the boss will complete the entire Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, granting players access to the teleporter and domain near the Perpetual Mechanical Array.
