KEY POINTS

  • George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are, reportedly, likely to divorce
  • The 'Gravity' actor is said to be leaning on Rande Gerber amid his marriage woes
  • George Clooney, reportedly, did not agree with Amal Alamuddin to add another member to their family

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have not been seen together in public for quite some time now. Rumors are rife that the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor and British-Lebanese barrister have been living separately for months. There were even reports saying that the distance has taken a toll on their marriage already and that they are likely to divorce soon.

Recently, Woman’s Day New Zealand, in its March 30, 2020 issue, reported that George was seen carrying some of his personal stuff in Los Angeles. This, according to the entertainment news publication, sparked reports that the “Up in the Air” star has moved out of their mansion in Studio City.

Amal’s husband was, later, spotted dining with his business partner and close pal, Rande Gerber, at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood. It was claimed that George Clooney was confiding and sharing his marital woes to the American entertainment industry businessman.

“Rande has provided a very attentive ear for decades during their guys’ nights at Craig’s, and on this evening, in particular, they were talking very seriously and intensely. George is a naturally friendly guy, but he was in no mood to chat with anyone else and seemed to be getting something off his chest,” the insider told the media outlet.

“George has kept Rande up to date on how things haven’t been good with Amal for a while now. He’s made it clear that if George needs somewhere to stay, even for a few days if discussions over their marriage become too intense, he is more than welcome to stay in Malibu with him and Cindy [Crawford, his wife], for as little or as long as he wants. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was where George was heading with his backpack,” it went on.

Other tipsters claimed that things have gone worse between George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin because of their different lifestyles and conflicting schedules. Another possible reason why the Hollywood couple is not on great terms lately is that the “Batman & Robin” star is not interested in adding another member to their brood, which Amal has, reportedly, been dreaming of these past few months.

While these reports could be true, it is important to note that neither George nor Amal has confirmed anything as of yet. Also, with Woman’s Day’s reputation for publishing articles based on the statements of its unknown and undependable informants, this could be another baseless report waiting to be quashed. So, avid followers of the couple should take everything with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

Meanwhile, Nick Offerman claimed he fell for George Clooney’s charms when they first met on the set of “ER.” He recalled, per Entertainment Weekly, how he and Amal Alamuddin’s husband found themselves eating soup backstage and started singing Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” track.
