They were said to be planning on raising their children in England for the first couple of years of their lives, but according to a new report, George Clooney is now planning on uprooting the family he now has with wife Amal over concerns for their safety.

According to Life & Style, Clooney, 56, who welcomed twins Ella and Alexander earlier in June with Amal, is hoping to move his family to Los Angeles after growing concerns over the spate of terror attacks that have hit London and surrounding areas in recent months.

“He doesn’t feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the English countryside,” a source told the magazine. “He’s determined to move his family to LA, where he feels much more secure.”

According to the magazine’s source, the concerns have been there for some time, because he has been threatened before because of his humanitarian efforts in Darfur, Sudan, and his wife’s work as an international human rights lawyer has also put a target on her back. Now, after England was the target of no less than three different terror attacks in the last few months, his concerns, which were already high, only grew.

The source maintained that Clooney did an assessment on the security of all of his homes after he learned that Amal was pregnant, and it was determined that the home in L.A. was the safest for his family, hence his alleged desire to move.

“As soon as Amal found out she was pregnant, he hired former Secret Service agents to assess all his properties and make recommendations for improvement,” the source said. “His mansion in Studio City [Calif.] was deemed the most secure, and it’s within minutes of an LAPD station.”

“He’s waited so long for this family,” the source added. “He’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.”

There has been no comment from anyone on Clooney’s team about the story, though several others about the actor that have been run by various publications since the birth of his kids have been deemed false.

One such report, by Hollywood Life, was slammed by Gossip Cop earlier this week, after the website claimed Clooney was considering retiring from acting to focus on being a full-time dad.

“George is in full dad mode and he’s also celebrating the sale of Casamigo,” the website’s alleged source said.

Gossip Cop busted the story as false because the tequila company Clooney sold was actually named Casamigos, and by saying that quotes Clooney had previously made about cutting down on his work before his wife was even pregnant about cutting down on his work were misconstrued.

“Aging becomes something that you try to do less and less onscreen,” he said at the time, meaning that the number of roles that would make sense for him to take as he continued to age would be smaller as time went on.
