glee season 6 episode 12 spoilers
Blaine's (Darren Criss, right) Warblers will say goodbye to their blue blazers before Sectionals in "Glee" Season 6, episode 12. Jennifer Clasen/Fox

“Glee” Season 6 is all about preparing for Sectionals, and Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel’s (Lea Michele) New Directions will have to face off against Blaine’s (Darren Criss) Warblers and Will’s (Matthew Morrison) Vocal Adrenaline — or will they? Someone from the Fox program's set recently leaked some information on social media about the penultimate episode of “Glee,” and it looks like the show choir groups will shake things up for the next competition by merging two teams.

The competition between all three groups has been hard on the choir leaders. After Jane (Samantha Marie Ware) transferred from Dalton to join the New Directions, Blaine wasn’t about to let New Directions walk all over his team—even if they did ask him to throw Invitationals. Blaine promised that his team wasn’t about to lose anything, even if it wasn’t a real competition.

“No one’s going easy on anybody. Nope,” Blaine said in episode 5. “The Warblers are being rebuilt just like the New Directions. I’m sorry, but my allegiance is with them. If that at all seems scary to you guys, then you should probably back out.”

Of course, that was before his steamy make out session with Kurt in episode 6. While an official Klaine reunion hasn’t happened yet, they’ll definitely be back together before Sectionals (and they might even be married). Competing against each other would definitely cause tension for the couple, but they may have found a way to avoid conflict.

Episode 12, titled "The Rise and Fall of Sue Sylvester," will team up New Directions with the Warblers for Sectionals, according to the episode synopsis. Dalton Academy "burns to the ground," the synopsis teases, and they'll join forces with McKinley to "form a super group."

News of the merge first hit the internet Tuesday when Instagram videos taken on the set were posted. The clips were deleted a few hours later, but they showed the two rivals singing Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” and Sia's "Chandelier" together in red and white blazers. Spoiler TV has some of the pictures that show the altered uniforms, which seem to be Dalton’s style with McKinley’s school colors.

The penultimate episode will be the end of many other things as well — including the glamorous group numbers. Episode 13, the “Glee” series finale, will feature “slower ballads and solos as each character gets their final chance to shine in the spotlight for a much more emotional and powerful episode rather than big budget performances,” E! Online reports. It sounds like fans should prepare for a tearful ending.

“Glee” Season 6, the final season, airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on Fox. Are you excited to see New Directions and the Warblers merge? Sound off in the comments section below!
