The Google Pixel 4 series was released a few days ago, but it appears that the latest flagship smartphones from the search engine giant are plagued with a lot of issues. Recently, we reported users complaining about the face to unlock the vulnerability of the device, as well as the inconsistent 90 Hz refresh rate. Today, several users are reporting that the Google Pixel 4 XL has some serious performance issues.

Android Police’s Artem Russakovskii and several other Reddit users are complaining about the performance issues they encountered using Google Pixel 4 XL. According to the reports, the latest premium phone from Google can be a slowpoke, and with its $899 price tag, this is simply unacceptable. In a video, Russakovskii compared the performance of OnePlus 7 Pro and Google Pixel 4 XL, which reveals that the $699 OnePlus 7 Pro performs much better than the more expensive Pixel 4 XL.

It appears that the Google Pixel 4 XL has four major performance issues, as revealed by Russakovskii. This includes longer loading time for the device’s Settings app (took 5 seconds to load). The latest device also took so long to load the Spotify app. The user also shared that Google Pixel 4 has some serious camera-related problems too.

It seems that the settings lag of Google Pixel 4 XL has already reached other parts of the system UI affecting other things like the camera launch shortcut. If you are also frustrated that the smartphone does not support 4k videos at 60 FPS, it got even got worse. This is because even 4K 30 FPS videos stutter in the beginning as major frame drops can be witnessed in the clips shared by the user on Twitter.

This same issue was also experienced by some Google Pixel 3 users in the past. It is just surprising that the search engine giant, with all its time and resources, was not able to resolve this issue. Google has yet to make a comment about these new sets of Google Pixel 4 XL issues that users are reporting.
