Marvel has dropped the highly anticipated trailer of "Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special," and it shows the franchise's beloved characters — including Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (Vin Diesel), Drax (Dave Bautista) and Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) — celebrating Christmas.

The trailer also introduces actor Kevin Bacon, who is appearing as himself in the movie.

The trailer, which was uploaded on YouTube Tuesday, opens with a lonesome Star-Lord. Kraglin (Sean Gunn) then says that as per the calendar, "it's almost Christmas time" on Earth. Nebula (Karen Gillan) responds, saying they don't have "time for trivialities like Christmas."

Mantis explains that this Christmas celebration is important for Star-Lord because his love interest, Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), is gone. In 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War" movie, Thanos can be seen killing Gamora to get one of the infinity stones.

Mantis eventually comes up with the idea to visit Earth and get some "wonderful Christmas gift" for Star-Lord to make him happy. In the next scene, Drax and Mantis can be seen visiting Earth, particularly Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

The trailer further shows how everyone gets together to celebrate Christmas on Earth. But Mantis is not yet satisfied, so she takes things up a notch and visits the house of "the legendary Kevin Bacon."

First, they attempt to inform Bacon that they are looking forward to meeting him through a security camera. Later, however, Drax can be seen breaking down the actor's door to enter his residence. "You're coming with us...as a Christmas present," Drax tells Bacon.

At the end of the clip, Rocket Raccoon and Groot can be seen enjoying the festive season on Earth.

The trailer has so far received praise online, with fans loving the idea of all guardians coming together to cheer up Star-Lord following Gamora's demise.

"I love how they're trying to help cheer up Starlord. It feels like a sitcom episode and I'm here for it!" one of them wrote in the comments section, while another noted, "The idea of the guardians trying to cheer up Starlord is the most heartwarming thing ever."

"The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special," helmed by director James Gunn, is arriving on Disney+ on Nov. 25.
