While Halloween can be a holiday to let loose and get a sugar rush, it can also turn into a headache when you have to decide what sort of makeup should be paired with which outfit. Under such circumstances, it is always better to go with the kind of make-up that can easily be paired with most outfits.

Whether you want to opt for a scary look or a cute one, you can cut back on a lot of holiday spending if you are familiar with some classic makeup ideas that never go out of vogue. Here are five Halloween 2017 looks that you can create on your own.

The Unicorn Look

In all possibility, you cannot get more colorful than this on Halloween. With a multicolored hair twisted up in a long triangular bun to sparkling, blushing cheekbones, this makes up for a fun look for the Halloween party.

The makeup products that you require to create this look are glitter dust, purple and pink eyeshadow, purple eyeliner, colored hairspray and a Styrofoam cone.

Start off by creating an impeccable “unicorn horn” by securing the Styrofoam cone on your head with pins and wrap sections of your hair around it, so that it gets completely covered. The rest of the look is best left to your dramatic imagination.

The Mermaid Look

This particular look may not be hailed as one of the more scary Halloween looks. However, if you are going for a cute yet fun look this year, you can try out the classic look that can be paired with a multiple number of outfits.

To create the look, you would need fishnet stockings, deep blue eyeshadow, pale aqua eyeshadow, glitter dust, white eyeshadow and aqua or deep blue liner. The stockings will help you create blue scales on your face. Make sure to match the scales with dark blue lips and splash your face with an extra dose of glitter dust to complete the look.

The Vampire Look

This one has always been one of the go-to makeup ideas for Halloween throughout the ages. It is easy to create as it does not require expert-level makeup skills or a wide-ranging array of makeup products.

The makeup products that you would need to create this look are matte black and red eyeshadow, black and red eyeliners, dark red lipstick and matching liner and a small makeup brush. To give your eyes that perpetual brooding look of a vampire, make it darker than the rest of your face using black eyeshadow. Make sure that you get the dark red veins arching out of your eye area just right. Also, incorporate the bloodlust of the mythical predator by dabbing your lips with the darkest shade of red that you can find.

The Frankenstein Look

Another classic Halloween makeup look to choose from is the all-time-favorite stitched look of Frankenstein’s monster. While you would need to invest quite some time in order to get the look right and some level of makeup expertise, all that hard work is sure to give you something to boast about at the Halloween bash you attend this year.

The primary makeup products that you would require to create this look are matte eyeshadow in a dark color, black liquid liner, matte red lipstick and white and black eyeliners. The key to nailing this look is to get the stitches on your face just right. The chain of the stitches can go across your face or just along the sides, according to your preference.

One of the easy ways to make sure that the stitches don’t look messy and are equally spaced out is to draw little dash marks at regular intervals in a meandering manner or a straight line in the area where you want the stitches. In the intervals, draw little cross marks, each beginning and ending in tiny circles.

The Doe Look

This is among the latest Halloween looks. It pairs well with almost any outfit that you might be planning to don for the 2017 bash. This also means that it is ideal for the last-minute makeup idea, in case you have been procrastinating when it comes to picking a costume this year.

Some of the makeup products that you would need to create the look are dark and medium concealer, white face paint and black eyeliner. Some of the aspects to watch out for while creating the look are over-pronounced eyes, the black tip of the nose and the white spots scattered along the edges of your upper face.
