Several movies from the “Nightmare On Elm Street” franchise will be airing on Halloween. Warner Bros.

After a long day of trick or treating or a weekend of partying, some people may not be up for actually going out on Halloween night. A great way to celebrate the spooky holiday is by kicking back and tuning into some horror movies and Halloween specials airing on television.

Check out the Halloween specials and movies that will be airing on Halloween night, Tuesday, Oct. 31, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

12 a.m.

“Hocus Pocus” (Freeform):

Starting at midnight, Freeform will air “Hocus Pocus” back to back for 24 hours. The film follows a teenage boy named Max, who frees a coven of three evil witches and must figure out how to stop the women from becoming immortal with the help of a talking cat.

11 a.m.

“The Simpsons” (FXX): Starting at 11 a.m. and ending at midnight, FXX will air episodes of “The Simpsons” Halloween themed “Treehouse of Horror” episodes.

1 p.m.

“Beetlejuice” (Sundance): After the Maitlands die in a car accident, they are stuck haunting their home until an annoying couple and their daughter moves in. Although the Maitlands try to scare the new family off, they fail and attract the attention of Beetlejuice. (The movie runs back to back on Sundance, ending on Nov. 1 at 1 a.m.)

5 p.m.

“Halloween II” (AMC): A year after coming face-to-face with Michael Myers, Laurie Strode struggles to deal with both the fact that she is his sister and that the knife-wielding murderer is back again.

“A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master” (SyFy):

Freddy Krueger returns to violently invade the dreams of suburban teens.

“Tiny House Of Terror” (LMN): When a woman believes her husband is dead, she moves out of her high-tech home and into a small isolated house, putting her life in danger.

5:30 p.m.

“American Dad” (TBS): Francine’s lack of satisfaction in the bedroom causes the family home to be haunted.

6 p.m.

“Poltergeist” (TCM): The Freeling family live a normal life in California until ghosts began to communicate with them through the television set and drag the youngest child into their world.

“Grey’s Anatomy” (Lifetime): When Halloween rolls around, Meredith believes she is being haunted by her mother’s ashes.

“The Inherited” (LMN): When a woman joins her husband to live in a house he inherited from his first wife, she finds herself spiraling into madness.

“Saw II” (IFC):

A detective tries to negotiate with the notorious serial killer Jigsaw, as his son and seven other people are trapped in an abandoned house. The group’s lack of morality is tested as nerve gas is pumped through the ventilation system.

6:30 p.m.

“Fright Night” (CHILL): When a teenage horror film junkie gets a new neighbor, he is convinced the man is a vampire.

7 p.m.

“A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child” (SyFy): After surviving Freddy’s attack in the fourth film, Alice hopes to start a new life with fellow survivor, Dan. However, when her friends begin to die, she believes Freddy is using her unborn child to carry out the murders and must figure out how to save her baby.

“Child’s Play 2” (WGN): A toy company brings back a serial killer in the form of a possessed Chucky doll, intent on killing humans.

7:30 p.m.

“Modern Family” (Fox): Phil holds a haunted house where Claire is forced to abandon her tradition of causing terror and make the experience kid-friendly.

“Halloween” (AMC): After murdering his sister and spending 15 years locked away for the crime, Michael Myers escapes. Finally free, Michael returns to his hometown looking for his next victims.

8 p.m.

“The Old Dark House” (TCM): Seeking shelter from a rainstorm puts patrons at risk when a psychotic fantasist and pyromaniac is released and determined to wreak havoc.

“The Watcher In The Woods: Enhanced” (Lifetime): When the Carstairs family moves into Alywood manner, Mrs. Alywood begins to think they are linked to her daughter’s disappearance 20 years ago.

“Under the Bed” (LMN): A deranged stalker befriends a woman online and moves into her home by taking up residence under her bed.

Village Halloween Parade (NY1): Coverage of the 44th annual Halloween celebration in New York City’s Greenwich Village.

“What Lies Beneath” (E!): A year after Dr. Norman Spencer has cheated on his wife, she begins to hear voices and see a young woman. While Norman refuses to believe his wife and brushes her off, the spirit has no plans of departing quietly.

9 p.m.

“Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare” (SyFy):

When Freddy Krueger reaches out to his long lost daughter to join him on his murderous rampage, the young woman has other plans in mind.

“The Babadook” (CHILL): When a widow learns the monster from her son’s book is real, she must figure out how to get the creature out of her home.

“Child’s Play 3” (WGN): After years of being free of the killer doll, Chucky’s manufacturer remakes the toyline, resurrecting Chucky, who is determined to kill his former owner.

9:30 p.m.

“The Haunting” (TCM): An anthropologist who favors the psychic phenomena selects two women to sleep in a haunted mansion where the spirits torment their guests.

“Halloween H20: 20 Years Later” (AMC): Two decades after surviving a Michael Myers attack, Laurie Strode is living under a fake name in hopes of leading a new life but can’t seem to escape her attacker.

“Little Girl’s Secret” (LMN): A teen must save her stepsister, who has befriended the dangerous ghost of a little girl.

“A Nightmare On Elm Street” (SyFy): Meet Freddy Krueger, a murderous character who preys on teens and kills them in their dreams resulting in their real-life death. After some investigating, Nancy believes she may be able to stop him.

“Sleepwalkers” (CHILL): When a mother and son move into town, the residents are unaware that they intend on feeding on the town’s virgin girls.

“Child’s Play 2” (WGN)

“Raven’s Home” (Disney): Booker and Levi’s plan to trick a classmate into believing their apartment building is haunted sends the boys on an unexpected journey, while Tess tries to make Nia’s Halloween special.

“Family Guy” (Cartoon Network): Spirits suck Stewie into the television after Peter brings home an artifact from an Indian burial ground.

“House on Haunted Hill” (TCM): A rich man challenges five guests to survive a night in a possibly haunted mansion for the chance of receiving $10,000 each.

“Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers” (AMC):

Michael Myers awakens from his year-long coma and travels back to his hometown to kill his niece in a mental institution.
