As we are finally reaching the end of the year, there is no better way to celebrate than with an airing of the classic “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown!” Rather than celebrate on New Year's Day, viewers can check out the special a day after Christmas.

Fans of the Peanut gang can enjoy this 1986 special when it airs on ABC on Thursday, Dec. 26, at 8 p.m. EST.

“Charlie Brown rings in the new year at a party with Tolstoy's 'War and Peace' and ends up missing the evening's surprise,” according to the official synopsis. In the special, Brown tries to throw a party to impress the Little Red-Haired Girl, but a series of mishaps end up missing the party and his chance to impress the girl of his dreams.

For those unable to catch the special on Thursday, viewers can see it whenever they want online. It’s only available on Amazon Prime Video for $2.99 in standard definition. Fans can rent it in HD for a dollar more.

Everyone has different ways to watch “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown,” whether it’s on ABC when it airs or renting it on Amazon Prime Video. No matter how you can watch it, this special will be on everyone’s list of favorite programs to see just in time for the New Year.
