When Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) and Malina leave the ice cream shop where Bennet found her at the end of episode 9, Luke (Zachary Levi) stops the two of them because he still wants to help. Malina is hesitant to trust Luke anymore because his wife Joanne (Judith Shekoni) was the one who killed Casper (Pruitt Taylor Vince). Bennet thanks Luke for looking after Malina, but chooses to look after Malina by himself.

Tommy wakes up at Erica’s (Rya Kihlstedt) house, where she tries to convince him to trust her and that he can’t stop the apocalypse from happening. Instead she has a complex built in the future where they can bring people to survive. However, connection to the facility has been shut down because Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) is no longer attached to the machine that operates the bridge to the future. After hearing about the facility, Tommy asks Erica if he can travel to the future with them to see what she’s built.

Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) is integrating Farah (Nazneen Contractor) at Sunstone looking to find out where Malina is. Parkman is trying to read her thoughts but Farah is doing her best to fight off Parkman’s ability. He decides to use her old war friend Carlos (Ryan Guzman) to see if her seeing him breaks her mind.

Tommy, Erica, Quentin (Henry Zebrowski) and Phoebe (Aislinn Paul) teleport to the future, where the Gateway to the Future facility is. Erica shows him the best way to save people is to bring some of them from the present to the future, since he can’t stop the apocalypse.

When Farah sees Carlos a flashback is shown of their time in war. Parkman starts spilling all of Carlos’s secrets to Farah, like how he’s in love with her and he wanted to run away with her. Farah starts to break and agrees to tell Parkman everything after he hold a gun up to Carlos’s head and threatens to kill him. However, Parkman is interrupted before he can get the answers from her.

Luke follows Bennet and Malina to a gas station, where Bennet notices the tail. Bennet confronts Luke, but Luke is persistent on helping because Malina saved his life when he was going to kill himself. He comes clean to Bennet that he and Joanne used to hunt evos, but Malina changed him. Bennet still isn’t convinced and takes Malina away leaving Luke at the gas station.

Miko (Kiki Sukezane) arrives at the Gateway to the Future, which is the city where the people Erica chooses will live in the future. Miko fights her way into the complex and arrives in a room where people are hooked up to machines. One of the people she sees laying there is herself.

Before she can react, Hachiro Otomo (Hiro Kanagawa), her father, approaches her and reveals the girl hooked up to the machine is the real her. She was in a bad accident and the only way Renautas would keep her alive was if Otomo did everything the company asked of him. He tells her to find the master of time and space once again because only he can send her on her final mission.

Carlos is about to be killed by a guard after Parkman is done using him, but he’s able to fight his way out of custody and he goes back for Farah. Carlos takes out another guard, kisses Farah and the two take off looking for a way out.

Tommy and Miko then travel through time, likely back to the past, leaving Erica behind.
