'Hocus Pocus 2' Set Photos Reveal Preparation Of Big Fire Scene

Disney's highly anticipated movie, "Hocus Pocus 2" is set to feature a big fire scene in the movie and the recent photos from the set gave a glimpse of what the scene might look like.

While no details of the plot have been revealed yet, the sequel is said to show a flashback scene of a burning village. The scene was shot at Chase Farm Park in the United Kingdom, where the crew built a replica of a village set in the 1670s.

A Twitter user shared on-set photos on Oct. 24. "Today’s adventure is brought to you from the set of Hocus Pocus 2!" the user captioned the photos.

Another user shared a photo of the Blackstone Valley Public Safety Mobile Command Vehicle, which was set up on the sets of the movie to ensure safety while filming the scene.

A Youtube user shared a video of the set on Oct. 23.

One of the fans commented, "I live 15 minutes away… I have been stopping by every week watching the progress of building this set. It’s quite remarkable and interesting! I can’t wait for what’s to come!"

Looking at the photos and videos, there are nine wooden buildings, most of them have one or more sides missing. According to Police Chief Brian Sullivan, Route 123 near the Chase Farm remained close throughout the last week, Providence Journal reported.

Last week, Taylor Ryan, a member of the Department of Environmental Management did an air quality check on the set. According to Ryan, the crew won't be setting the structures on fire. "They are using 'fire beams' fueled by natural gas so it looks like the building is on fire from the camera, but nothing will be burnt down," Ryan said, as reported by the outlet.

"This is better from our environmental perspective and also better for Disney, as they can do multiple takes of the scene," Ryan added.

Original cast members Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker will reprise their characters for the sequel.

However, actress Vinessa Shaw, who played Allison in the original film, noted earlier this month that she wasn't approached for the sequel yet. The first installment of the movie was released in 1993.
