It's been over four months since Disney+ announced the sequel of the 1993 hit movie, "Hocus Pocus." However, the original cast member Vinessa Shaw -- who played Allison -- revealed she hasn’t heard anything about reprising her role.

"I would love to know more about it. I haven't heard anything. So, it may be just that it's way [early] in pre-production or it's maybe something entirely different than the original," Shaw told ComicBook Wednesday. "I haven't heard anything, sadly. Sorry."

She further shared her experience working on the original movie and how it changed her life.

Shaw noted the family fantasy movie "blew" her mind. "It just was an amazing second film to have done," she told the outlet. "It brought me to basically love filmmaking because, up to that point, I hadn't really done anything that big."

Although she admitted 1993's "Ladybugs" was also a big movie for her, she added "but three months on the set working on this movie [Hocus Pocus], it just rocked my world. So to be able to, again, have everyone love it ... So I hope the second one is just as cool."

Since the movie was released in 1993, it became a cult classic and one of the most popular Halloween movies.

In May 2021, Disney+ made the second installment announcement on Twitter. The streaming platform confirmed lead stars of the original movie - Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy - will return for the sequel.

"It’s all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus 2️," they tweeted. "Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles as the delightfully wicked Sanderson Sisters in #HocusPocus2, coming fall 2022 to #DisneyPlus."

The plot of the upcoming movie will revolve around “three young women who accidentally bring the Sanderson sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.”

"Hocus Pocus 2" is slated to release in 2022 on Disney+.

Shaw, on the other hand, was recently seen in a movie based on sports titled, "12 Mighty Orphans," which was released on June 11, 2021.
