How I Met Your Mother
Is the mother from "How I Met Your Mother" actually dead? CBS

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Prepare for “How I Met Your Mother” to get Milioti-ized! The long-running CBS comedy will air its highly anticipated 200th episode on Monday, Jan. 27, and all spoilers are leading to a “Legen – wait for it – dary” half hour of TV!

“How I Met Your Mother” fans who have been complaining about the series not featuring “Mother” Cristin Milioti enough will finally get their wish granted, as the upcoming episode is all about the newcomer in episode 16, “How Your Mother Met Me.” According to the synopsis, the Mother will be recounting “how she met Ted and what she’s been up to for the past eight years” … which means mega-flashbacks (some juicy flash-forwards) and the return of Rachel Bilson!

For those who are unfamiliar with Rachel Bilson’s role in “How I Met Your Mother,” the actress played Cindy, one of Ted’s ex-girlfriends. Things didn’t work out between the pair, but at the time they were dating, Cindy was the Mother’s roommate. Cindy resurfaced in season 8 with her new girlfriend when she ran into Ted on the subway. Their meeting ultimately put the wheels in motion for Ted to meet the Mother because Cindy revealed that the Mother’s band was available to play Robin and Barney’s wedding, after their initial band fell through.

So, what’s going to happen in the epic 200th episode? We’re breaking down a list of spoilers for you:

1. Narrative -- Adios, Bob Saget! “How Your Mother Met Me” will not be narrated by Ted. Instead the “Mother” will be telling her side of the story in the 200th episode. No word if we’ll be hearing Cristin Milioti’s voice or if another actress will be lending vocals for the future “Mother.”

2. Time period – The upcoming episode is not taking place over the three-day wedding weekend. “How Your Mother Met me” will be eight years of flashbacks, starting in 2005 when viewers first met the gang. Fans will be able to see what the Mother has been doing all these years with co-creator Craig Thomas teasing the Hollywood Reporter that “we’ll get to see her side of scenes that we’ve already shown the audience back in season 3.”

3. The St. Patrick’s Day Party – Remember the season 3 St. Patrick’s Day episode, “No Tomorrow”? As fans know, the party that Ted went to with Barney ended up being a hot mess, but the Mother was also in the crowd that night. A sneak-peek clip released on “Ellen” reveals that episode 16 will flash back to that night and reveal the Mother’s side of that St. Patrick’s Day party. 4. Tying Everything Up – The questions about Cindy and the infamous yellow umbrella will all be wrapped up by the end of episode 16.

As for fans wondering how much they’ll see of Cristin Milioti post the 200th episode? Carter Bays revealed that “it took making the first half of the season to realize we weren’t using her enough, but I think these last nine episodes correct that error nicely.”

The highly anticipated 200th episode of "How I Met Your Mother" will air on CBS on Monday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m.
