Moving in with a significant other can often mean dietary changes, and it sounds like that is true even for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex might be making her husband go vegan.

“She’s a keen animal lover and likes to eat vegan during the week and she has a strict no-fur policy,” a source told the Mirror. “She has also been encouraging Harry to eat less meat and more fruit and veg and is now keen to fully convert him to her views on hunting.”

As previously reported, Meghan has reportedly asked Harry to stop participating in the Boxing Day hunt with the royal family, a tradition he has taken part in for over 20 years now. However, it seems it isn’t just the shooting that irks her. She wants Harry to adapt her diet as well.

The royals likely won’t be going completely vegan. Even Meghan admitted that she hasn’t fully adapted that lifestyle. “I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends. But at the same time, it’s all about balance,” she told Best Health in 2016.

The former actress admitted that she loves French fries and pasta (despite the Queen not being a fan of starches), and supporters of the Sussexes know that Harry proposed to Meghan while they were roasting a chicken.

It sounds like Harry has been trying to clean up his diet for quite some time, though. In January, International Business Times reported that Prince William’s brother was cutting out pizza and going to the gym more often.
