Prince Philip’s good looks drew tons of women to him even though he was already married to Queen Elizabeth II.

During his tour of Mexico several years ago, the Duke of Edinburgh attended a dinner party hosted by actress Merle Oberon in his honor. The event was also attended by Jody Jacobs, a reporter for Women’s Daily, and royal author Kitty Kelley.

Jacobs observed Prince Philip’s interactions with Cristina Ford, who was married to Henry Ford at that time. In her book “The Royals,” Kelley detailed a conversation she had with Jacobs.

“After dinner, when most of the other guests had left, I was part of a little group standing with the prince near some French doors leading to the terrace and pool. There were other women, including Cristina Ford who was tan and tawny,” Jacobs said.

The reporter added that Ford was the same person who made headlines at a White House dinner for Princess Margaret when her white strapless gown literally fell off while she was dancing. During the dinner in Mexico, Jacobs said that Ford appeared to be flirting with the Queen’s husband and the two danced a couple of times that evening.

“Suddenly, she looked at him and said, ‘Why don’t we go to the pool and go swimming?’ We meaning the women could leave our bras and panties on… Prince Philip blanched, ‘Uh, uh, I think it’s time for me to leave,’” Jacobs said.

According to the reporter, the Duke of Edinburgh smiled at Ford and the rest of the people at the dinner. After being surrounded by his group, he said goodbye and took off.

Kelley said that Prince Philip was far too discreet to indulge in anything beyond harmless flirting in public. Jacobs said that Prince Philip might have been discreet because he knew there were reporters at the event or it’s possible that he wasn’t really that attracted to Ford.
