Prince William and Kate Middleton just showed that they are really committed to protecting the planet.

After taking a budget flight to Balmoral to spend a few days with Queen Elizabeth II and the other royals, it has now been revealed that the royal couple took another commercial flight to return to their home.

According to Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge together with their three children and their nanny, flew from Aberdeen to Norwich at 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cambridges arrived in Norfolk at 3:30 p.m.

Middleton was photographed carrying Prince Louis in her arms while they were walking towards the plane. Prince William, on the other hand, was looking after Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The royal couple’s decision to take a budget flight to and from Balmoral just trigged more comparisons between them and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were criticized for taking a private jet to four vacation spots within a span of 11 days.

Prince Harry and Markle have been educating people on why it is important to take good care of the environment, but they themselves have been causing some harm to the planet.

But despite the criticisms, some people came to Prince Harry and Markle’s defense. Elton John previously revealed that he was the one who lent the private jet to the royal couple.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie also said that it is understandable why Prince Harry and Markle didn’t fly commercial. The royal couple has been trying to raise their son, Archie, as a private citizen.

“I think the difference between Harry is when he could jump on an EasyJet with mates, now he has a child and how do you protect that child? I think that maybe some of this is just figuring that out… How can they travel, have their own life, but also do things the right way?” he said.
